Return Policy
Due to the nature of precious metals and their inherent market volatility, BYRD maintains the following return policy.
Return Eligibility
Select 18-karat gold jewelry may be returned within seven (7) calendar days of confirmed delivery, provided all of the following conditions are met:
- The item is unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
- The item is free from scratches, damage, or signs of use
- The item is in its original condition with all original packaging, boxes, pouches, certificates of authenticity, and documentation
- All tags and protective materials remain attached and intact
- Prior written return authorization has been obtained from BYRD
Returns submitted without prior authorization will be refused and returned to sender at sender's expense.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:
- All gold bullion products, including all 24-karat gold bars regardless of weight or design
- Custom, personalized, engraved, or made-to-order items
- Items that have been resized, altered, or repaired
- Items purchased during promotional, sale, or clearance events
- Items marked as "Final Sale" at the time of purchase
- Gift cards or store credits
- Items returned without original packaging, tags, or documentation
- Items showing any signs of wear, use, damage, or alteration
By purchasing gold bullion from BYRD, you acknowledge and agree that all bullion sales are final and non-refundable.
How to Request a Return
To request a return, contact clientservices@flywithbyrd.com within seven (7) days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Item(s) you wish to return
- Reason for return
- Photographs of the item in its current condition
If approved, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions. Your RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of your return package.
All returns must be shipped via fully insured carrier with tracking and signature confirmation. You are responsible for the item until it is received by BYRD. BYRD is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged during return shipment.
Inspection & Acceptance
All returned items are subject to inspection upon receipt. BYRD reserves the sole and absolute right to determine whether an item meets return eligibility requirements.
If inspection reveals that the item has been worn, used, damaged, altered, or is missing original packaging, tags, or documentation, the return will be refused. The item will be shipped back to you at your expense, and no refund will be issued.
Market Price Adjustment
Important Notice Regarding Precious Metals: Due to the inherent volatility of precious metals markets, approved jewelry returns may be subject to a market price adjustment.
If the spot price of gold has declined between the date of your original purchase and the date your return is received and approved, your refund amount may be reduced to reflect the current market value of the gold content. The adjustment is calculated based on the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Gold Price AM fix on the date of return approval compared to the date of original purchase.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this market price adjustment policy.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 7-10 business days following inspection and acceptance of the returned item.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a BYRD error or a manufacturing defect.
Please note that your financial institution may require additional time to process and post the credit to your account.
Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to product availability and current market pricing. If you wish to exchange an item, please contact us to discuss options. Price adjustments will apply based on current gold market conditions.
Defective or Damaged Items
If you receive an item that is defective or was damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs documenting the issue. BYRD will, at our sole discretion, repair, replace, or refund the item.
This does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, improper care or storage, or unauthorized repairs or alterations.
Bullion Buy Back Program
While gold bullion products are final sale and not eligible for return, BYRD offers a Buy Back Program for BYRD-branded bullion through our partnership with American Precious Metals Exchange (APMEX).
All buy back transactions are conducted exclusively by APMEX under their terms and policies. BYRD does not participate in valuation, pricing, or payment processing for buy back transactions. BYRD makes no representations or warranties regarding buy back pricing or availability.
